Students are encouraged to undertake a structured basic course in Sogetsu Ikebana in which the fundamental relationships between the elements of arrangements of line, space, mass and colour are developed.
Students then progress to more advanced and creative work in free style arrangements, where the students are encouraged to learn to express themselves and to develop their creativity through arrangements.
Classes are held on Mondays 10 – 12; 2 – 4; and 7 – 9.
The fee for a two hour class is $20. Students provide their own flowers and branch material. If requested, purchase of flowers etc can be arranged for the student. The present semester finishes on April 28 and the next set of classes begins 16th June. Textbooks for the classes (issued by Sogetsu Foundation) are available for purchase.
Registration for classes is available by completing the form in the "Contact" page.
